Pink Himalayan Rock Salt

Pink Himalayan rock salt is a type of salt mined from the Khewra Salt Mine near the Himalayas in Pakistan. It contains trace minerals like potassium, magnesium, and calcium, which impart its pink color. Its primary function is as a seasoning and preservative, much like regular table salt. The U.S. FDA considers salt (sodium chloride) generally recognized as safe (GRAS) when used in food.
