Rose
Rose petals and extracts are used both as food ingredients and in fragrances. As a food ingredient, rose hips and petals provide dietary antioxidants, vitamins such as vitamin C, and have been traditionally used for flavoring and medicinal purposes. In fragrance and cosmetics, rose extracts are generally safe but can cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. The FDA considers rose and rose-derived ingredients as generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for food use.
