Aldicarb Sulfoxide

Aldicarb sulfoxide is a toxic metabolite of aldicarb, a potent carbamate pesticide. It acts as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor leading to accumulation of acetylcholine and overstimulation of the nervous system. Not approved as a food ingredient; exposure usually occurs via pesticide residues in food or environment. Considered highly toxic to humans and animals.
